This lamp to me is seen as an act of violence as the villain would look up to the lamp as this object is seen as giving him friendly advice on what to do next.
I also see this scene as a suicidal scene. This is because this reminds me of the villain torturing the innocent or even blackmailing them and as the innocent cannot take or handle this pain.
The camera has also altered the colour in to grey, white and black from its natural colour. The camera has shot this image at a high angle where this can show what is happening in the surroundings. This high angle shot gives the impression that the villain has all the influence, power and control over the innocent.
