1. Prison Image

I chose this image first because the cells seem to widespread evil throughout these gloomy cells, which show wickedness, cruelty and grief within these walls.

Secondly, the lighting in this image has changed from the natural colour to grayscale. This technique is effective because this portrays how the audience would feel, as they would look at this image and sense depression and misery because of its black and grey colour. The weather in this image leaves theviewer's mood to hang in a torturous and unforgettable situation as it is raining.

The image is a handheld shot. This enables the viewers to feel the cameras perspective and feeling based on this horrendous shocking image. There is also a close up shot, which allows the audience to analyse the character’s facial expressions and their emotions.

2. Passage Way Image

I have decided to position this image next because the audience would feel terrified as this gives the impression that evil itself is existing and forbidding in its own presence. The camera uses a tracking shot where this enables the audience to trail the villain and his actions. This makes the viewers feel a sense of belonging and awareness to what is happening in this horror movie.

The camera also uses an extreme long shot, which is usually shot at the beginning of the film to make the audience become more alert of what is happening. In this scene the viewer has a quick glance at the landscape and the small figure, which is being seen in front of the shining light. This gives the audience the feeling that the villain is hiding its identity. This is because the figure is seen as black, which suggests that the villain’s character is seen as intimidating and threatening.

3. Stairs Image

The camera work has changed the light settings into grayscale because this has a great impact on what mood the audience is experiencing now. This picture is also an extreme long shot because this shows not only the figure but also the landscape and the buildings in the background. This suggests that it is not only fearsome but also terrifying because of what the background represents. For instance, there is a black tunnel under the bridge, which reminds me of the victim torturing and scarring the innocent. The camera is also held at a high angle as this represents how haunting and unforgettable this image is.

4. Tunnel Image

The camera has shot this image at a very low angle as the image is taken below the bridge. The camera seems to take a tracking shot, which would let the viewers become more alert on the villains actions and behaviour. The audience at this point would become more interested and engaged to this as the audience would acknowledge why, where and what the villain seems to be doing in order to keep the viewer’s attracted.

The camera’s colour is also keeping the viewers mood in curiosity and awareness. This is because the weather seems dry and damp. The audience would be more anxious to what the villain is planning to do as it seems that he is in a hurry to meet up with the Dispatcher.

5. Lamp Image

This lamp to me is seen as an act of violence as the villain would look up to the lamp as this object is seen as giving him friendly advice on what to do next.

I also see this scene as a suicidal scene. This is because this reminds me of the villain torturing the innocent or even blackmailing them and as the innocent cannot take or handle this pain.

The camera has also altered the colour in to grey, white and black from its natural colour. The camera has shot this image at a high angle where this can show what is happening in the surroundings. This high angle shot gives the impression that the villain has all the influence, power and control over the innocent.

6. Boat Image

I find this picture interesting because this image is a tracking shot. This enables the viewers to experience the characters view from his perspective and viewpoint. This image is shot from a high angle where the viewers are able to track where this boat would go, which seems like a car chase.

7. River and Tree Image

I chose this picture next because I think that the villain is trying to hide something. This is effective because the audience would feel a sense of shiver by looking at the deep black water. The water gives the viewers the impression that the innocent in this horror movie does not exist anymore and that evil is wide spread.

This shot is shot at a point of view shot which enables the viewer to sense everything from the characters viewpoint and perspective. For example, the viewer can feel what the character is feeling at this precise moment.
